Tate's essay on Miles' e...Excellent review. Tate's essay on Miles' electric music renewed my interest in that period. Also insightful was his distinction between George Clinton's messy funk and Zappa and Capt. Beefheart's tyranny. Did you find Zorn's homage to Ornette Coleman, "Spy vs. Spy," problematic for the same reason?
